Countdown to Summer's End

                                                                 

                                             Goodbye to Summer (Almost)

     

 What’s a fashionista to do with the reality of summer ending soon?  We’re all getting ready to leave our relaxation mode and add more structure to our outer and inner life.   Fall is a season of motion with so many competing activities vying for our attention. 

      

 And what about our wardrobes-where do they come in to play?  This is where that ambiguous label of transition clothing moves to the forefront.  But more of that later…. let’s wear all the eyelet, sleeveless, and sheer looks we can for the next few weeks. 

 Let your choices be guiding by fabrications instead of color.  I've been grabbing serious summer looks all week, knowing they are hanging there with a big expiration date you can't deny.  Barely there sandals and sheer fabrics need to be worn tomorrow.  Put those summery tunics and dresses into the August lineup asap. Remember though, white jeans are not only okay to wear year round, they are seriously cool.

 But as I say, more on that transition topic later. Summer flings might be  ending (Katy Perry+John Mayer), but there's still a little summer for all of us.   For now, let’s celebrate what we enjoy in spite of that little temperature change each morning that we can’t deny.
